WHAT IS THE CORPATH GRX SYSTEM?
Ambulatory Surgical Centers of Broward physicians will be among the first in the country to have regular access to the Corindus CorPath GRX system, the most advanced cardiovascular robotic technology for percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.
CorPath GRX is a second-generation robotic-assisted system with proven success in over 5000 cases in more than 50 cardiovascular programs worldwide.

CorPath GRX is a second-generation robotic-assisted system with proven success in over 5000 cases in more than 50 cardiovascular programs worldwide.
THE ADVANTAGES OF THIS LEADING-EDGE AUTOMATION IN AN ASC SETTING INCLUDE:
- Clinical success of 99.1% in complex cases.(1)
- Enhanced visualization of angiography screens from a comfortable interventional workstation.
- Reduction in stent usage.(2)
- Potential for radiation reduction to patients(3) and staff.
- Radiation protection for physicians.(4)
ROBOTIC PERIPHERAL VASCULAR INTERVENTION (PVI)
The CorPath platform is the first in the region to offer the advantages of robotic precision for the treatment of peripheral artery disease. While PVI is one of the most frequently performed procedures in the United States, CorPath is a significant improvement in the way we care for patients with peripheral artery disease and coronary artery disease.
Robotic PVI is also safer for the physician. Because PVI procedures are typically lengthier than PCI, radiation exposure levels can be significantly higher. With the CorPath, the operator is seated behind an interventional control cockpit, which eliminates the need to wear lead and reduces the primary operator’s radiation exposure by 95%.(4)
CorPath also significantly reduces the awkward positioning and orthopedic injuries that are associated with manual catheterization lab procedures.
Please see our Services page for more information about PVI procedures.
ROBOTIC PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTION (PCI)
The CorPath GRX is the first FDA-approved robotic intervention system designed to handle both PVI and PCI procedures. With recent CMS approval of heart catheterization and angioplasty and stenting procedures, Ambulatory Surgical Centers of Broward is providing outpatient PCI procedures with the same state-of-the-art functionality, low risk and exceptional care patients have been experiencing with CorPath PVI outpatient interventions for more than a decade.
Please see our Services page for more information about PCI procedures.
